instantAIguru wasn't born in a boardroom or funded by VCs. It emerged from a 40-year commitment to building tools that work reliably, and that anyone can use without a manual.

We distill our extensive experience building battle-tested enterprise-grade AI customer support into an automated, self-serve deployment that shatters the enterprise price tag, eliminates vendor lock-in, and compresses the months-long implementation into days, hours, and even minutes.
Customer expectations have changed. The same buyers who used to tolerate 24-hour email turnaround now expect a useful answer within seconds, on whatever channel they happen to be on. We built instantAIguru to meet that bar, and we believe meeting it is no longer optional. We treat AI customer service as an engineering discipline, not a marketing positioning. We have to handle the chaos so the customer sees only clarity. The path from one to the other is the argument we make in From Chaos to Clarity.
“Every business” is the operative phrase. Most AI customer-service platforms are built for enterprise budgets and require integration teams to deploy. instantAIguru is the AI customer service platform for the other 99%. A Forty-Year Foundation
Ron Pinkas founded Pacific Turn-Key Systems (PTS) in 1986. PTS later became Softworx LLC, today the parent of instantAIguru. The original work included 5Frame, an application framework that became the foundation of several commercial systems. In 1987 he built La Curacao's first business platform on 5Frame for Ron Azarkman, when Curacao was a single store. The system integrated CRM, invoicing, point-of-sale, payables, and general ledger. The same year, Ron shipped ProfitMaster, which became the leading software for carpet-cleaning businesses in five countries and the standard management system for SEARS Carpet Cleaning franchises in the United States and Canada. Subscription-based support followed, years before "SaaS" had a name.
In 1999, Ron joined Antonio Linares to develop the Harbour project, an open-source Clipper-compatible compiler and runtime. He became a key contributor to the xBase ecosystem with named work on the preprocessor, lexer, parser, and virtual machine. In 2001 he founded the xHarbour project as a fork of Harbour; xHarbour became the dominant xBase development platform for over a decade. Public xBase-era artifacts include Simplex and xbScript. Six years of compiler-runtime work shaped the deterministic-systems instinct that later became JSFE. After an extended sabbatical, Ron returned to programming in November 2022 with the release of ChatGPT, and in 2023 built dbBridge, an open-source SQL-to-SQL database migration utility.
The same engineer. The same Curacao customer, now 12 locations. Ron Azarkman is still CEO. His son Mike Azarkman, CTO, deployed instantAIguru into production and is the named source of the public Curacao testimonial. SVP of Business Development, Servicing & Collections Joseph Jiron led the customer-team review of 100,000+ monthly interactions in October 2025 that validated 97%+ answer accuracy, and the April 2026 review showing 85%+ of inbound phone calls resolved without live-agent transfer. Trust earned over 38 years is what makes Curacao comfortable letting AI handle live payment flows on phone numbers they own directly (see Bring Your Own Numbers for why that ownership matters).
Across this career, Ron has been a featured speaker at xBase-ecosystem developer conferences (Computer Associates, FiveWin, Harbour, xHarbour) and at industry events spanning Joe Polish marketing seminars, CFI (Carpet & Fabric Institute), and ASCR (Association of Specialists in Cleaning & Restoration).
The Spark That Started It All
In November 2022, when ChatGPT was released, Ron Pinkas was enjoying his early retirement, playing tennis, traveling the world, and producing original music in his home recording studio. He'd built a successful software company, contributed to open-source projects, and had earned the right to enjoy an extended Sabbatical.
But ChatGPT reignited something. Using AI as a daily learning companion, Ron taught himself modern technologies, HTML5, JavaScript, Python, Docker, experiencing firsthand both the incredible potential and frustrating limitations of conversational AI tools.
So Ron built xSyched, a Custom GPT with a full SQL backend supporting OAuth authentication.

The Challenge That Changed Everything
Marcelo Lombardo, founder and CEO of Omie, Brazil's largest ERP/CRM platform for SMBs, powering over 180,000 businesses, was a xSyched user and invited Ron to explore AI opportunities.
Fine-Tuning Failed
Thousands of hand-picked Intercom sessions. The result? Too hallucination-prone for production use.
RAG Was The Answer
Combined with a hybrid multi-model orchestration framework, it delivered the accuracy that fine-tuning couldn't.
First Enterprise RAG
May 22, 2024: the first RAG Guru in enterprise production use, to our knowledge.* Live at Omie, Brazil's largest SMB ERP, serving 190,000+ businesses.

* In May 2024, productized "RAG" and multi-vendor "orchestration" were barely named categories. We know of no earlier deployment meeting all three of: (a) live in production, (b) at an enterprise customer, (c) using retrieval-augmented generation. Intercom Fin, the biggest plausible prior claimant, was still BETA inside Omie's own Intercom account on that date.

Customers can now connect multiple email addresses to their Guru, completing the five-channel omnichannel suite (web, email, WhatsApp, SMS, phone). RFC-threaded replies land in the original conversation; AI-disclosure footer included for BOT-law and EU AI Act compliance.
CSAT Post-Call Surveys
Open-source, self-hosted customer-satisfaction surveys: at the end of a voice call the Guru texts the caller a one-time survey link, and responses feed an authenticated CSAT analytics dashboard. First live at Curacao.
